EVELYN MACCREADY (nee FULFORD) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She went peacefully on May 30, 2014 at Kildonan Personal Care Centre. Born on January 14, 1926, she was predeceased by her husband David Alexander in 1963, her parents Philip and Christina Fulford, and her siblings, Arthur, Warren, Jim and Margaret (Mardi). She will be sadly missed by her loving daughters, Diane (Dean) and Elizabeth (Jim), grandchildren Ryan (Ruby), Corey (Alexa), Michelle and Holly, her great-grandson Grayson and a great-granddaughter on the way. Evelyn was an amazing woman. Left to raise her children, she was resilient, independent and determined. Her faith sustained her through many difficult and trying times in her life, which was dedicated to her family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and a friend to many. She was a gifted knitter and loved to sew. She especially loved making things for her grandchildren, which will be keepsakes for years to come. She found joy in seeing her great-grandson and was looking forward to meeting her great-granddaughter due in August. Thank you to all the staff at Misericordia Interim Health Care Centre and especially Kildonan Personal Care Centre for the wonderful and kind care given to Mom. They doted on her and called her their gentle spirit. Your attention to her was so greatly appreciated. In keeping with Evelyn's wishes, cremation has taken place and a family graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations would be gratefully accepted in her memory at Kildonan Personal Care Centre, 1970 Henderson Hwy., Winnipeg, Manitoba, R2G 1P2.
