  • Don and Nyn were vibrant members of the West Hawk/Falcon business community, and good friends, while they lived here. Don was one of the co-founders of the South Whiteshell Fire Department which has been of tremendous benefit to our area over the years. Alec says: I had the privilege of being Don's friend for 35 years. We spent many winters in the Dominican Republic and I know he was respected by many people and will be sadly missed by our many friends in Costambar. - Posted by: Theresa and Alec Young (friends) on: Jun 08, 2014

  • I had the privilege of working for Mr. & Mrs. Draper for 10 years at Tallpine Lodges... .Mr. Draper was an extraordinary gentleman. He was tough and usually right... lol.... and not many people knew of his "hidden" generosity. He was missed when he moved away and some of us still miss the Draper's... my condolences to Mrs. Draper & Michelle & family... - Posted by: Debbie Bradshaw (employee at Tallpine Lodges) on: Jun 07, 2014

  • I had the privilege of working with Don when I was the Executive Vice President of the Tourism Industry Association of Manitoba and Don was our President. He was a delightful man to work for and taught me a lot about the industry and in particular the importance of creating a niche market for your particular resort. He had a winning personality and was a great friend to many. My thoughts and prayers go to Nyn and Michelle. - Posted by: Rita Borthwick (Friend) on: Jun 07, 2014
