WILLIAM ROGER KOLT December 1, 1946 - May 28, 2014 Roger born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, was predeceased by his parents Bill and Monica, and brother Trevor. Roger leaves behind his loving wife Sylvia, daughter Sholome (Stuart Johnston), grandchildren Asia and Fraser, brothers Lindsay (Linda Kaston), Tracy (Debbie, Kelly), sisters-in-law Beverley Peirson (Daryl), Margaret Peters (Cory and Tammi), brother-in-law Gary Kalichak, and many friends across the globe. Roger married his true love Sylvia Kalichak on November 26, 1969 and they remained constant companions until his unfortunate passing in Portland, Oregon where they have resided for the last 15 years. Their only child, Sholome Christa was born in January 1971 and resides in Vancouver, BC with her husband and Roger's two grandchildren. Roger's early adult years were spent working in the Winnipeg music industry where he had the honour of working with some of North America's greatest artists. Along with his love of music and family he was an avid fisherman (Bass being his favourite) a passion he shared with his family and friends during many memorable days on the water. Roger's 35 year business career in the medical diagnostics industry began as a service technician but he rapidly climbed the corporate ladder to become a well-respected business manager. His career took the family to extraordinary places overseas. Roger travelled extensively and embraced the cultures of the many places he worked and lived all over the globe. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will be forever grateful for the care and attention provided by St. Vincent's Hospital and the Legacy Hopewell Hospice in Portland.
