JOHN JAWOLIK July 16, 1939 - June 7, 2014 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our brother, uncle and great-uncle on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents, Jean and Walter Jawolik; sisters Elsie Jawolik and Shirley Jeffery and his brother Ted. He is survived by his brother Norman Jawolik (Marianne); brother-in-law Larry Jeffery; nieces Maureen, Melanie (Mark and Lyrik) and Crystal and nephews Terry and Eric (Erin). John was born in Gimli and farmed the family farm in Fraserwood his whole life. Uncle Johnny had strong opinions as to how he thought the world should be. He loved driving around in his old Ford visiting, attending Fall Suppers, and trips to Arborg Chicken Chef for lunch and to socialize. He loved animals, especially his faithful dog Willie. The family would like to thank the staff in ICU at H.S.C. and Grace Hospital for their care and compassion over the last year and a half. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday June 13 at Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli with viewing 1 hour prior to. Interment to follow at the St. Francis Cemetery in Fraserwood.
