ENZO DOMENICO DIUBALDO January 4, 1958 - June 11, 2014 After battling cancer courageously for five years, Enzo's journey came to an end with his family by his side. He is predeceased by his father Giovanni DiUbaldo and sister-in-law Rachel DiCara. Enzo will be forever missed by his son and daughter, Stephen and Jenna, mother Vincenza, brothers Joe and Ferd, his former wife and good friend Debra, many relatives, and countless friends. Enzo was born in Winnipeg after his family immigrated to Canada from Piano Vomano, Italy in the 1950s. Enzo was a man who loved life and had unrelenting strength and belief even during times of hardship. He was thankful for every day that he had on earth and he lived life to its fullest through travel, adventure, and enjoying the outdoors. Enzo was a true family man who took great joy and pride in watching his children grow. He had a great love for cars and motorcycles and felt the most free when he was on his Harley with his friends and the highway stretched out before him. A service for Enzo will be held at St. Ignatius Parish, 255 Stafford Street, on Tuesday, June 17, 2014. Family will receive friends at 10:00 a.m. with his eulogy being read at 10:45 a.m. and Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. A motorcycle procession will take place directly after the service while travelling to Waverley Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, located at 1501 Waverley Street. A lunch will follow at the church afterwards. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations be made in his name to the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. The family would like to express their sincerest gratitude to the staff at the Health Sciences Centre D6 Oncology Unit and Medical Intensive Care Unit, and the CancerCare Manitoba staff, as well as all of Enzo's friends who visited and supported him throughout the past few years.

So many beautiful inspirational comments here for my wonderful cousin Enzo -- thank-you all for sharing your love and wisdom for the fine soul and beautiful person that he was; and I know that his spirit will continue to grace our lives. I think he is 'somewhere over the rainbow' after the storm and strife of illness have passed, and he is soaring now 'on eagle's wings' - powerful, free and strong again. - Posted by: Adela DiUbaldo Torchia (cousin) on: Jun 18, 2014

I grew up with Enzo in the West End and remember going to Clifton School with Enzo. Enzo was a great friend who was full of fun always enjoying life in whatever he did. Played lots of hockey with Enzo and will never forget those times. I'm at a loss for words as I know a lot of people will miss you. God has a better plan even beyond all of our own understandings. I will never forget you my friend. - Posted by: Dave Harrison (Childhood friend and neighbor) on: Jun 16, 2014

Enzo was a special friend to so many and I was lucky to work with him for about 10 years at HSC and share many laughs, times when he lent a helping hand and social get togethers with other work colleagues, etc. Unfortunately, though I thought of him often, we had lost touch over the past 10 years and I am so sorry that his special magic will no longer grace his friends and family. I know he will be sorely missed. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and closest friends. - Posted by: Lee Robinson (Friend) on: Jun 15, 2014

Enzo and I grew up as little kids and neighbors in the West End. I have known Enzo about 50 years and he was like one of our family. Enzo was truly a rare individual. He was a great friend and had a smile that warmed your heart. The world has lost a wonderful person and heaven has gained an incredible Angel! I will miss you a lot my friend and I will carry that smile in my memory forever. I love you man! May God Bless and keep your family strong through this emotionally hard time. - Posted by: Ron Dirr (Childhood friend and neighbor ) on: Jun 15, 2014

Brought my young kids to meet Enzo many years ago and to see his tangerine custom Harly. My youngest was just thrilled when Enzo picked him up and put him on the seat of the bike. He had a big heart and will be greatly missed - Posted by: Scott Payton (Friend) on: Jun 14, 2014

I knew my buddy Enzo from our gym workout sessions. He was an inspiration to me and to many for his determination to be physically active but most importantly for being a "true friend"!! His smile and cheerfulness despite early in the day was evident (Summer or Winter). I will forever remember him cheering for me during the Manitoba Marathon as he stood at the corner of Pembina and Point Road and screaming "GO SUPER"!! Your name will be on my bib number (608) for tomorrow's race. I have missed you at the gym in the last two years and will continue to miss you my friend! - Posted by: Mario Fonseca (Friend (Gym buddy)) on: Jun 14, 2014

I went to school with Enzo as did many of his close friends. I have not seen Enzo for many many years but I know many who knew him. I can honestly say I have never heard a bad word about him. He always led with his heart... and you felt that. God love you Enzo. Rest now. - Posted by: Patti DelGrosso (Friend) on: Jun 14, 2014
