RUTH ELIZABETH DINGLE August 27, 1925 - June 12, 2014 Peacefully at Meadowood Manor, Ruth, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away. Born to William and Nellie Geddes in Wapella, SK. Predeceased by husband Albert (2003), sister Doreen and brother William. Ruth is survived by children Darlene (John), Terry (Laurie), Lois (Brian); grandchildren Kevin (Maria), Douglas (Megan), Rachel (Dwayne), Yuri (Rachel), Matthew (Lisa), Kathleen, Andrew; great-grandchildren Ryan, Teya, Rebecca, Ainsley, Marshall and Declan. Prior to marrying Albert in 1946 during the war years Ruth worked for MacDonald Aircraft in Winnipeg and Toronto with girlfriend Marg. She maintained years of friendship with school friends Marg and Inna. One of her fondest memories was a cruise to Alaska with her two friends. Albert and Ruth's homes took them to Deloraine, Boissevain, The Peace Gardens, Emerson and Regina. Upon Albert's retirement they enjoyed many winters in Hawaii. After raising her family, Ruth worked at Sears and later found her dream job at Santa Maria Nursing Home working until 1987 when Albert and Ruth moved to Winnipeg to be closer to family. Ruth was most proud of her Scottish heritage and we know a bagpipe is playing for her now. Rest in peace, Mom. Special thanks to the staff at Meadowood Manor for their care and being like a second family. Cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. Donations may be made to CancerCare or The Alzheimer Society of Manitoba. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715
