VILA MAE GREENWOOD (HARTWICK) Vila Mae Greenwood (Hartwick) passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB on Wednesday, June 11, 2014 in her 91st year. Vi is survived by daughters Harolyn (Bob) Capstick of Winnipeg, MB, Irene Greenwood (Joan Jarvis) of Winnipeg, MB, daughter-in-law Brenda Greenwood of Coldwater, ON, grandchildren Beth (Mike), John (Val), Darryl (Jen), Dave (Laurel), Jeffery (Daina), Kimberley (Greg), ten great-grandchildren, sister Evelyn Park of Cumberland, BC and sister-in-law Gwen Hartwick of Oshawa, ON She was predeceased by her husband Harold and son John (Jack) Greenwood, brother George Hartwick, sisters Beth Page, and Audrey Oldham. Vi was active in the community through her involvement with Coldwater United Church and the Canadiana Museum. Vi was a gentle, gracious woman who enjoyed knitting and handcrafts. Family will honour her life with a Memorial service on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, 525 Wardlaw Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Interment will take place in Ontario at a later time. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Vi may be made to Crescent Fort Rouge United Church.
