STUART WILLIAM BUCKLER Stuart Buckler, 84, of Winnipeg, passed away peacefully at Meadowood Manor on Friday, June 6, 2014. Born in Tatamagouche, NS, to Hilda Maude (nee Stevenson) and James Stiles Buckler. Stuart was the second youngest of nine siblings. He was a shy, quiet man who was happiest when he could find things to fix or build, a love that began with his Dad's car engine when he was only 10 years old. Stuart held several positions over his lifetime that allowed him to use these natural talents, most notably as an operator mechanic in the Royal Canadian Air Force (1948 to 1960) and appliance repair with Smith Agency (1975 to 1990). Stuart is survived by his brother Arnold (Norma) Buckler, children Sharon (Michael) Kubrakovich, Terry Schuh, David Buckler, Nikki Buckler (Grant), Donald Buckler (Debra), and Teri Buckler, grandchildren Ronin, Kolya, Joy, Jody, Zach, Daniel, Stephen and Neil and great-grandson Ezekiel. He is predeceased by his parents, wife Valerie (nee Daley), sisters Jean Crawford-Lane, Myrtle McIntyre and Doris Buckler and brothers Murdock Morrison, David Morrison, Lester Buckler and Harold Buckler. The family wishes to thank all the staff at Meadowood Manor Personal Care Home for providing a thoughtful, caring home for Stuart over the past few years. At Stuart's request, no funeral service will be held. The family thanks everyone for their kind thoughts and prayers. In Stuart's memory, donations may be made to Meadowood Manor Foundation Inc. or the Canadian Lung Association.
