While kayaking at White Lake, where we were renting, I met Ron who told me I should meet his wife. Loretta and I did connect and enjoyed a few kayaks together over a couple of summers on White Lake. Zenon and I also enjoyed Ron and Lorettas's hospitality at their cabin. Loretta had the most wonderfully welcoming smile! So glad our paths crossed. Our heartfelt sympathy to Ron and all the Nowicki family. - Posted by: Jane and Zenon Romaniuk (Became friends at White Lake) on: Jul 07, 2014

Ron & Family Whether you were a long lost high school friend or a complete stranger walking through their doorway, Lori greeted you with a warm smile, gentle voice and welcoming eyes. Bill was the high school friend , I was the stranger 43 years ago. Lori and Ron always offered us a room at the "Inn" when we came to Winnipeg many times to visit Bills family and of course the Nowicki's . Their abundant generosity impressed me, 43 years ago and still today. The limited time I spent in Lori's company was memorable, she will never be forgotten. Her persona I strive to emulate! Ron, family, Val, and Myrna. I wanted to extend my sincere condolences. Loretta was a beautiful person and we all will miss her smiling face. My memories go back to when Loretta was very young and I remember her mother always said she needed to rest a lot because she had had heart problems and in those days every precausion was taken, So we got to play for just short times. So I know she has had a lot of struggles but always came out smiling. So brave. I am sorry I cannot be there to celebrate her life as I live out of town and had just been in Wpg. recently. - Posted by: Bea Blaquiere (longtime friend) on: Jul 03, 2014
