MARY IVERSON Peacefully at Poseidon Care Centre, Mary Iverson passed away on June 29, 2014 at the age of 95. Mary was predeceased by her husband Edward and leaves to mourn five children Mary (Werner Wolke), Carole (Robert Kozin), John (Jennifer), Diane (Arden Creasy) and Lorraine. She had six grandchildren Mark Wolke (Sherry), Jeff Wolke (Melissa), Arden Creasy, Angela Creasy, Justin Iverson and Jessica Carriere, as well as one great-grandson (Eoghan Wolke). She is also survived by two sisters, Eva Dicks and Agnes Stefansson and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 4 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church on Hampton Street in St. James where Mary was a long time member. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church. Special thanks to the staff of Poseidon Care Centre who took such good care of our mother for the last few years. They all knew her and loved her and she always had a kind word for everyone. Your mom was one of the kindest, loving, generous most forgiving ladies I have ever had the privilege to meet. She taught me the importance of forgiveness and the need to love others. I would go to Mary many times to ask for her advice on "life" issues. She was without a doubt an angel from God and was a beautiful example of what it truly means to be a "vessel" for God's love. I am Blessed and enriched in so many ways because of Mary. She is a precious soul now living in the presence of her creator. Our condolences to John, Jennifer, Justin and family. Of course we knew both both Edward and Mary and they were such a nice couple. Mary was so gracious and polite. I enjoyed my visits with Mary.
