I met Joan back in the 70's when I migrated from St. Lucia to Winnipeg to attend the University of Winnipeg Collegiate, where she taught. She quickly took me under her wing and introduced me to the rest of her family (her parents, siblings, children and spouse). I will forever remember her soft reassuring voice, the warmth in her eyes, and that very charming smile that was always so welcoming and made you feel that "all is well". Rest in Perfect Peace beautiful Joan ! - Posted by: Rosemary Garraway (Friend) on: Jul 09, 2014
