RORY ARTHUR D'AMOUR Rory Arthur D'Amour, 49, of Abbotsford, BC. died peacefully, surrounded by love at Abbotsford Regional Hospital on April 10, 2014 after losing a short, fierce battle with cancer. Rory is survived by his wife, Lisa (nee Tanasichuk); his two children: Justin D'Amour, and Kayla Wiebe and stepdaughter Anastasia Tanasichuk. He is also survived by his parents, Art and Dawn, brothers Mike (Sandy); Scott (Shirley); and sisters Lisa D'Amour Budd (Brendan) and Dawn Grace (Louise); as well as two nieces and two nephews. He was born September 18, 1964 in Victoria, BC the youngest of five to Art and Dawn. Rory moved with his family to Winnipeg in 1974 where he attended various schools and made some lifelong friends. It was soon after that he met Lisa, the woman who would become his wife this March, 33 years after they first met. Rory had several jobs over the years, but most loved working at fairs and exhibitions around the world. He cherished talking with members of the public and cared deeply for those he worked with. He was proud to be called a carny and was looking forward to the 2014 season. Rory will be fondly remembered for his uninhibited joy of life and his huge heart. He was always there for friends and family when he was needed, without question or hesitation. To Rory, nothing was more important than friends and family and he truly loved everyone in his circle. Following Rory's wishes, a private cremation was held April 16. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 11, 2014 at the ANAF Unit 283, 3584 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. If friends and family so desire, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Rory is my brother, we were always very close. I miss him so much. He was a huge present in our lives. When Rory walked in a room u knew Rory had arrived, he loved life, his family and his close friends. If anyone knew Rory like his family did they knew Rory would give u his last dime if he had. It would do anything for anybody no matter what. He was so loving and caring. Rory I know ur in a better place and not in pain, but I will never feel whole again now that ur gone. I love bro and will miss u every second of everyday. - Posted by: Dawn (Sister) on: Jul 05, 2014
