PETER STOBBE It is with great sadness we announce the passing our loving father, Peter Stobbe, on Tuesday, July 1, 2014 at Fairview Home, Brandon. He was born March 26, 1924 to Henry and Susan Stobbe, in the village of Hierschau, South Russia (now Ukraine) and immigrated to Canada the same year. He was predeceased by his wife Mary in 2010, daughter Lynda-Marie in 1951 and brother Henry. He is survived by brothers, Jake, John and Frank; and sister Martha. Sadly left to mourn, yet with many wonderful memories are his children; David (Candace), Edith (Tim) Muri, Gordon (Liz), Elaine, Doug, and Karen (Don) Kehler, as well 10 Grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Richmond Park Mennonite Brethren Church, 1525-26th Street, in Brandon. Viewing will take place at Brockie-Donovan Funeral Home, 332-8th Street, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. - with a private family interment at Alexander Cemetery prior to the service. Dad finished his journey on earth under the fine care of the wonderful staff of Fairview Personal Care Home. Special thanks to Dad's faithful volunteer, Gordon Bettess.
