EVA ROSENBAUM (nee MINUK) April 18, 1933 - June 28, 2014 It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister at the age of 81 with her family by her side. Evie was predeceased by her parents, Ben and Thelma Minuk and her brother, Norman. She will be lovingly remembered by Jack, her husband of 63 years, daughter, Rennie Kaplan (Allan) and son, Martin Rosenbaum (Melissa); grandchildren, Karlee, Nathanial (Jean), Adam (Ellen), Leora (Abraham), Micah and Aaron; great-grandchildren, Shoshana, Jonathan and Eliana; siblings, Yetta Levit, Clara Rubin, Harry Minuk and Molly Lachter. Evie was born in Winnipeg, MB, the youngest of six children. She married Jack at the age of 17 and for the next 63 years, they were inseparable. They worked together, raised a family and enjoyed frequent travel to Hawaii, other United States cities, Israel and also loved cruising. She was a fabulous cook and baker and a trophy winning bowler. She was a gentle soul with an easy smile, infectious laugh and an encouraging word for everyone. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to the Simkin Center staff who treated our mother with love, respect and compassion. We greatly appreciate all the love and support we have received from our friends and family over the last few years and especially during this difficult time. Funeral services were held on June 30, 2014 at Congregation Etz Chaim with interment at Hebrew Sick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald Street. Mom, you will live forever in our hearts.
