The day before Rob's passing, we spent an hour talking. This was an ordinary, extraordinary conversation. Every time I spoke with Rob, he had kind, uplifting words of encouragement. His ear and heart were always open, his mind, full of ideas and knowledge. This particular day, Rob had a sympathetic shoulder for my situation. He smiled and truly understood how technolgy had failed me (we laughed), he listened intently and offered a few words of advice. My feelings, as I left, were somehow more peaceful, more at ease, even though the problem I was facing seemed unsolvable at the time. Rob always had that ability to make people smile and feel better. A peaceful soul does that. Anyone who knew Rob has had those same conversations with him. Insightful, humourous, and full of joy, this man is now having intelligent conversations with God. We will all miss him. - Posted by: Lyle Kirchner (Friend) on: Jul 11, 2014
