Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVALERIE JANE MARIE LAVALLEE (nee DELARONDE) After a short battle with cancer, Valerie Lavallee, of Portage la Prairie, passed away on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at Health Sciences in Winnipeg at the age of 61 years. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving partner Leo Vivier; son Dennis; daughter Denise; granddaughter Nissa; sisters Anita, Belinda and Joanne and brothers Sonny and Junior and their families. In keeping with Valerie's wishes there will an informal gathering of family and friends. Valerie and I were friends when we both were just teenagers and remained friends until our adulthood. My family moved away to California when I was in my late 20's. I would hear from her periodically but as time passed we drifted apart. But I would think of her from time to time as I still think of other friends. She was a loving soul.
