MARIE KENDRICK (nee BARCHUK) February 20, 1936 - July 4, 2014 Marie passed away peacefully at home in Edmonton on July 4, 2014 in her 79th year, with loving family at her side, after a heroic battle with cancer. Loving wife of Norman, for 54 years, proud mother of James (Nathalie; grandchildren, Jacob, Ben), Heather Andony (Rick; grandchildren, Teri, Alex, Jeffrey), Chris (Brian Middleton), Rick (Christine; grandchildren, Teagan, Brynden, and Jaren), and Wayne. Predeceased by her parents, John and Annie Barchuk (nee Pisula) of Hazelridge, MB, and brothers Walt and Ed also of Hazelridge. Survived by sister, Jennifer Paquette (Ed) of Vancouver, a niece, and four nephews. Marie had a kind and gentle manner that brought comfort and love to those who were fortunate enough to be touched by her. She will be remembered most for her devotion to her family and the love and encouragement that she always provided. Marie led by example through her actions, commitment, hard work and attention to detail whether at work at Eaton's or volunteering for many sports and cultural organizations. Marie will be sadly missed on earth but welcomed by a chorus of angels in heaven. A service will not be held as per her wishes.
