SIMONE PICHE (née POIRIER) Peacefully at home on Sunday, July 13, 2014 with her loved ones by her side, Simone Piché of Somerset, Manitoba passed away at the age of 80 years. She leaves to mourn her four children: Guy "Tippy" Piché (Debbie) of Stony Mountain, Louie Piché of Oak Bluff, Paul Piché (Debbie) of Notre Dame and Monique Labossiere (Mitch) of East Selkirk; eight grandchildren: Aime, Ryan (Marina), Chantal (Murray), Jamie (Brian), Brian (Marianne), Chris, Casey and Jodie; 12 great-grandchildren: Khristian, Nico, Ethan, Johnny, Kane, Madison, Coralie, Kolton, Ethan, Carter, Dominique and Griffin. She also leaves to mourn, three sisters: Rita Painchaud (Maurice), Denise Le Floch and Ida Hendricks (Dave), and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Aime Piché in 1988, and by her daughter-in-law Valerie in 2012. Simone was born on December 23, 1933 in Shaunavon, Saskatchewan. She loved to knit, sew quilts, play cards and loved curling. She had an infectious laugh that could make anybody smile. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and family. The family would like to thank Dr. Dawood, Nicole, Karen, homecare workers and the nurses that helped Mom be comfortable in her wish to stay home, and to all the family and friends who helped in any way they could. Family prayers will be held at Adams Funeral Home on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services will be held in the Notre Dame de la Nativité Roman Catholic Church, in Somerset, Manitoba on Saturday, July 19, 2014. Eulogy and Video Tribute at 1:30 p.m. and Funeral Mass at 2:00 p.m. followed by family interment in the St. Claude Parish Cemetery with Father Armand Le Gal officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. Adam's Funeral Home of Notre Dame de Lourdes, Manitoba in care of arrangements.
