Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHELEN MCBRIDE (nee LULEWICK) August 23, 1930 - July 15, 2014 Following a life well-loved, Helen passed away on July 15, 2014 at the Riverview Health Care Centre after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Helen's memory will live on and is cherished by her immediate family: Glen, her true love and husband of 62 years, her loving daughters Brucie (Gord), Beth (Alfred), Barb (Ward), and Angela (Jeff), and by her grandchildren Geri, James and Bailey. She was loved and will be missed by extended Lulewick and McBride families, and by many, many dear friends. Helen was a devoted wife, a terrific mother, and overall just a wonderful person. Her passing has left a hole in many lives. Throughout her struggle, Helen maintained her grace and sense of humour, and she was grateful for all the love surrounding her right through to the end. Helen's family extends its heartfelt thanks to all the angels for their visits, phone calls, flowers, meals, and kind words. The family would also like to extend thank yous to the staff at 3E Palliative Care at Riverview Health Care Centre for the attentiveness and compassion in caring for Helen, and for treating her with respect and dignity these last seven weeks. Her family found comfort in knowing she was free of pain and well looked after. A special thank you to Dr. Patricia Harris for going above and beyond in her care of Helen over the years. At Helen's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service. For those who desire, donations in Helen's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7 or Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 9Z9. Helen, forever in our hearts and loved always... we will sure miss you, mom. You passed on your legacy in so many ways. You are the strongest person that we have ever known. We will take care of "your Glennie" for you. Your daughters.
