ALICE THERESA CRONK It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Alice on July 16, 2014. Alice was born on November 2, 1918 in Brokenhead, Manitoba, the youngest of Harry and Mary Antymis' four children. As a young girl she attended Thalberg School and moved to Winnipeg in her late teens. She worked in the Cordite Plant during the Second World War and there she met Eddie, who would become her husband of 59 years. Together they travelled the world, visiting such places as Great Britain, Sweden, Russia, China, Hawaii and Mexico. Alice enjoyed an interesting career working at the Hudson Bay Company for many years. As she grew older she continued staying active by walking miles every week and attending the day program at Lions Place. Her last years were spent at the Betel Home in Gimli where she was known and loved for her lovely smile and sweet, friendly nature. Alice was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Mary Antymis, her husband Eddie, her brothers John and Steve, and her sister Ann. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Betel Home for providing her with a kind and caring home over the past few years. A memorial service for Alice will be held Thursday, July 24, 2:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society or to a charity of choice. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715
