Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIVY HARPER Ivy Harper passed away peacefully on July 15, 2014 at Evergreen House in North Vancouver. Ivy was born on June 3, 1921 in Northumberland, England and immigrated to Toronto at the age of nine with her parents, David and Florence Robertson. She married Roy Harper in 1942, moved to Winnipeg in 1949 with their children, John and Helen. A few moves later, which included Thompson, MB and Flin Flon, MB, Ivy and Roy moved to North Vancouver where she resided until her passing. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Roy in 1994 and son-in-law Ken Yetman. Ivy is survived by her sister, Joyce Weir (Bill), son John (Ruth) Harper, daughter Helen Yetman, grandchildren, Blain Yetman (Cyan), Heather (Jason) Arnold, Karin (Pat) Penner, David (Kathy) Harper, Lynn (Bob) Summers, Doug (Karen) Ross, David Ross, and great-grandchildren, Beatrix Yetman, Sam, Finn and Isla Arnold, Emma and Macie Harper, Brynn and Cole Penner, Megan and Sarah Ross. Ivy will be missed as well by friends from the community and, more recently, staff and residents of Evergreen House where she resided for the past year and received the best of care. Special thanks to her friend, Shirley Marcino, who helped Mom for many years after Roy died 20 years ago, and Norma Johanson. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service at St. Timothy's Anglican Church, 630 East 19th Street (19th and Sutherland) North Vancouver, on Monday, July 21 at 11:00 a.m. Flowers are gratefully declined but Ivy would have appreciated any donations in her name to the SPCA, Humane Society or any pet shelter.
