Mina Morrison was born June 4, 1918 in Winnipeg to Gustav and Amelia Platau. As a child her family consisting of her parents, four older brothers, and one sister and herself moved to Dugald, Manitoba and worked on the farm. As a young woman during The Second World War she answered the "Call" and moved to Ontario to work in Small Arms Ammunition Factory. It was in Ontario that she met her husband Ernie Richard Morrison. While the children were growing up Mina worked at Harman's Restaurant to provide for the family. Following with nursing homes caring for others, and then retiring from the Grace Hospital after 15 years in Inhalation Therapy. Mina was active member of the community, volunteering for the Misericordia Hospital as a charity Fundraiser. She belonged to Wags and a proud member of TOPS. She was predeceased by her husband Ernie, her parents Gustav and Amelia, siblings Harry, Albert, Robert, George and Lillian as well as her great granddaughter Jade. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her children; Allan, Linda and Wayne, Betty and Jamie.
