Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCHRISTINA ETHEL BURNETT After a brief illness, Christina Ethel Burnett, beloved wife of Jack Burnett, passed away July 21, 2014 at Victoria General Hospital surrounded by her family. She was predeceased by her parents Lyle and Isabella Craig, son Doug Vaughan, sisters Betty Blair, Donnie Bolton, Laura Thomas, and brother Bill Craig. She is survived by her husband Jack Burnett, son Gary (Monica) Vaughan, stepdaughters, June Schwartz (Reine-d. 2007), Edna (Marc) Legault, Connie (Dave) Taillon as well as eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Chris grew up in Mill Creek, Manitoba. She moved to BC in her adult years and returned to Manitoba in 1976 when she married Jack. Her family and friends were very important to her. She was a devoted correspondent faithfully remembering birthdays, anniversaries and special days. She was always willing to lend a listening ear to anyone in need. Her home was welcoming and we enjoyed many family celebrations over the years. Her thoughtfulness, kindness and sense of humour will be greatly missed. Chris's family would like to thank the staff at Victoria General Hospital for their kindness and care. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Highway Tabernacle, 1680 Saskatchewan Avenue West, Portage la Prairie, MB with a reception to follow in the church. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to Faith Bible Camp Memorial Fund , P. O. Box 42059, RPO Ferry Road, Winnipeg, MB.
