Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryWILMA JEAN FIDLER Wilma Jean Fidler (nee Hannesson), 84, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2014 in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Born in Winnipeg, Wilma was the eldest child of Bill and Jean Hannesson. She married Graham Fidler on February 24, 1951 in St. Boniface. They lived in Vancouver, BC.; Inglewood, California; Billings, Montana; Gimli; Vancouver, Washington; and Charlotte, North Carolina for almost 38 years before recently moving to Colorado. Loving, strong, and frugal, Wilma ran the household alone when Graham's work took him out of the country for extended periods. When the children were older and she was able to travel with him, they saw the world together. Wilma was predeceased by parents Bill and Jean; brother Jim and sister-in-law Marilyn; and brother-in-law Dennis Yanz. Remaining to cherish Wilma's memory are husband Graham; son Craig (Gayle) of Parker, Colorado; daughter Kim (Doug) Martin of Poquoson, Virginia; daughter Kelly (John) Cleckner of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; son Kyle (Courtney) of Tampa, Florida; brother Bud (Beverly) of Winnipeg; sister Betty van der Aa of Winnipeg; and sister Lynda Yanz of Toronto. Wilma is also survived by nine grandchildren. Service to be held Saturday, August 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to an Alzheimer charity of your choice.
