RAE ARMIT Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, Rae Armit passed away on Friday, July 25, 2014, at the age of 56. Rae was predeceased by his parents, Leonard and Beth Armit, and his father-in-law Mike Senkowski. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memory, his much loved wife of 27 years, Marlene and their two children, Meghan (Justin) and Ian, sisters Kathy (Walter) Ryzner, Lynn (Julie) Moar, and mother-in-law Pauline Senkowski. He also leaves numerous family and friends who will always remember the good times shared together. Rae spent his early years in Alonsa, MB making many friends and lifelong memories. As a teenager he moved to Winnipeg with his parents, later attending Red River Community College. He worked his entire career at Manitoba Conservation. Rae's greatest pride and joy were his children, he was their greatest cheerleader, never missing an opportunity to attend their activities and always proud of their accomplishments. In the summer he enjoyed camping, gathering together with good friends for great times. Rae always had a story to tell or well-meaning advice to give. He will be greatly missed and always have a place in our hearts and memories. A service will be held Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated. Chapel Lawn www.chapellawn.ca 204-885-9715
