Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHOWARD MCMILLAN Howard Thomas McMillan passed away on July 29, 2014, at the Sarcee Hospice in Calgary, AB at the age of 74 years. Howard was one of three children of Harold and Julia, and was predeceased by his brothers, Orval and Edgar. Howard is survived by his children Peter (Karen-Anne) McMillan, Jim (Catherine) McMillan and Karen (Brent) Lockridge, and his grandchildren Palmer, Claire, Dawson, Matthew, Katelyn and Paige. Howard lived in Winnipeg before moving his family to Edmonton, AB in 1971, where he was employed with the CBC until his retirement. Howard will be fondly remembered for his kind heart and strong Catholic faith. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5 at Sacred Heart Church, 1307-14 Street SW, Calgary, AB. A luncheon will be served at the church following the service. Interment at Sacred Heart Columbarium, Calgary. Funeral arrangements through McInnis & Holloway. We wish to thank Dr. Falk, the nurses, staff and volunteers at the Sarcee Hospice for their care and compassion. In memory of Howard, donations may be made to the Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2.

So sorry to learn Howard passed away. We lived next door to the family on Amherst Street in Winnipeg. The family were very good neighbours and the three boys were good playmates. We skated together on a rink that Mr. McMillan made for us each winter and I have many very happy memories of us as children. Howard and I shared almost the same birthday, and we often celebrated a combined birthday, usually outdoors. He was a kind and very good person, even at a young age.
