WLADYSLAWA (BABCIA) BILICKI October 4, 1929 - August 1, 2014 Peacefully with the love of her family, Wladyslawa passed away at the age of 84. Born in Poland, immigrated to Canada with her husband and three daughters to pursue a better life for their family. Wladyslawa was employed at CN until retirement. She was a strong, loving devoted mother, Babcia (grandmother) and Prababcia (great-grandmother) to her family. She lived life to the fullest and was able to enjoy holidays with family and friends. Gardening, baking and cooking ensuring everyone's fridge and freezer were stocked with our favourites was one of her greatest pleasures. Mama will lovingly be remembered by her three daughters, Christine (Joe), Grace (Dusan) and Mary (Carlos); grandchildren Mark (Tammy), Chris (Laura), Yolanda (Bill), Marcia, Peter (Erin), Nicole (Justin) and Cayley; great- grandchildren Joshua, Jordan, Joel, Luca, Max, Jake and Carter; sister-in-law Sophie Kostycz and family, as well as family in Poland. Her family was truly her pride and joy. She was predeceased by her husband Franciszek, her parents Maria and Wladyslaw Kostycz, her brother Marian Kostycz. Love is in us to give... Babcia gave it all. Always and forever in our hearts, we love you so much, now you and Dziadziu will dance together again. Rest peacefully Mama, Babcia and Prababcia. Wladyslawa's family would like to express their heartfelt thank you to the staff at Victoria Hospital, Dr. Munsamy and nurses in unit 5 for their compassionate care. Rosary and viewing will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. John's Cantius' Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Ave. Interment to follow at Holy Ghost Cemetery, North Main St. Pallbearers will be her grandsons. Flowers are gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Wladyslawa's memory to a charity of choice. "Wieczny odpoczynek racz jej dac Panie." CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

  • Mary....I'll never forget your Mom...so friendly and welcoming. When you lived on Cecil she invited us in for sandwiches with horseradish mustard and cold cuts on a bun......I still eat them to this day! - Posted by: Barbara Larence (Friend of Mary) on: Aug 08, 2014

  • She was an amazing woman. - Posted by: Friend () on: Aug 06, 2014

  • I wanted to pass on our deepest sympathies to Mary and Carlos and girls and all of Babcia's family. We hadn't seen her for a few years but each time we did she was full of love and kindness for her family and others. She was always smiling and I always remember how much she adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. All of our thoughts, prayers and love to all of you. We are thinking of you all.
