Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN FICEK May 26, 1923 August 7, 2014 Peacefully, with his family close by his side, John passed away at the age of 91 years. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Lillian of 58 years; daughter Kathleen; son Paul (Helen); grandson Daniel (Madison); brother Frank and sister Margaret. John was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Katherine as well as baby brother Andrew. John was born and raised in Brandon. He serviced and protected his country for a short time having been stationed in Halifax until the end of the Second World War. He was immediately employed by the CPR where he worked for 43 and a half years. In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
