Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMELYNDA MARGE CHESTLEY (nee TAYLOR) On Monday, August 4, 2014 our Mom passed away peacefully at home, after a very long hard battle with cancer. She was an amazing mom to us and to everyone she knew. She was happy in the fact that she had her family and extended family were with her in her final hours. She got to see and listen to Alexa and Katie laugh, cry and play and to hear little Jacob laugh, because that is pretty much what he was always doing. She had fun and laughter all around her when she passed. Our Mom will be missed and will always be in everyone's heart. She was an amazing mom and did everything she could for her children and her extended children. Thank you Mom for being our Mom. Love your children, Melina and Kevin.

I'm so sad to have heard of Melynda's passing and so sorry that she was not victorious over cancer. Your brief obituary was so Melynda! She lived for her family and extended family. I am so sorry for the family's loss. Melynda, you challenged me in many ways. We didn't always get along :) but we always made up. I still have that wonderful pashmina wrap that you gave me as a gift for one Christmas with the story that Greg brought it back or sent it to you from Afghanistan (or somewhere out there), and even though I live in the Caribbean now, I still cherish it and use it to keep warm. Tonight, there's a chill in the air and wrapped in the scarf I was thinking of you and wanted to write you. When I couldn't find you on Facebook, I got a cold chill and looked warily for you here. We are so sorry to hear of your mom's passing. Trevor called me from Ottawa and asked if she had passed. I found this obituary and feel sorry I missed this news. Your mom was an amazing woman and she liked to laugh so it is good she had lots of laughter around her. Kevin, Melinda, Theresa and all family, we are so sorry for your loss. We got to know your mom a bit during your (Kevin and Theresa) wedding and really enjoyed spending time with her. We know how important she was to you and that she will always live in your hearts.
