I was very saddened to hear of his passing. • Izzy was a committed early morning die hard who attended the RJCC faithfully. He took the time to get to know me on a personal level. He was witty, smart, loving, and adventurous. He will definitely be missed and my mornings will not be the same. My sincerest condolences to his wife, daughter, and family. The world has lost a very special man. - Posted by: Kim Johnston-Rempel (Friend) on: Aug 13, 2014

  • WE HAVE KNOWN IZZY A LONG TIME FROM DAYS WHEN IZZY OWNED GARRY LANES, BOTH MY WIFE AND MYSELF HAD OUR BEST GAMES AND HIGH AVERAGES THERE. IZZY WAS A FUN GUY TO BE AROUND AND WILL BE SADLY MISSED. I LEARNED TO BOWL AT GARRY LANES WHEN I CAME BACK FROM GERMANY IN LATE 60'S, AND ALSO,BROUGHT MY GIRLFRIEND NOW MY WIFE TO GARRY LANES ON VALENTINES DAY AND STILL LAUGH ABOUT THE VALENTINE DAY BLOW OUT. I RAN A SUNDAY LEAGUE AND WAS ON THE LANES WHEN IT CAUGHT FIRE, THAT SUNDAY NIGHT. WE ARE GLAD WHEN IZZY REBUILT THE LANES AS, THOSE LANES WERE HOME TO A LOT OF PEOPLE AND IT WAS FUN BOWLING AT GARRY LANES. THOSE LANES SOME PEOPLE WILL NEVER FORGET LIKE THE SPECIAL OLYMPIANS WHO ALSO BOWLED ON SUNDAYS WITH US. SEEING A 440 GAME DONE AT THE LANES BY A SPECIAL OLYMPIAN MARGO AND PERSONAL BESTS DONE AT GARRY LANES BECAUSE THE WAY IZZY RAN THEM. A KIND MAN AND GREAT PERSON. IZZY THANK YOU FOR GARRY LANES AND ALL THE FUN TIMES WE ALL HAD THERE. YOU WILL BE MISSED - Posted by: BRYAN AND KIM JONES (FORMER BOWLERS AT GARRY LANES ) on: Aug 13, 2014
