Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLAURETTE MARIE MAYER With great sadness we wish to announce the passing of Laurette Marie Mayer, age 97, on August 17, 2014. Laurette was born in Minnedosa, MB on November 7, 1916 and resided in Winnipeg until her death. She was baptized as a member of the congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1956 and a celebration of her life will take place on August 22 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1060 Wolever Ave. She is survived by her son David Reece (Betty), daughter Yvette Battick, and son Chris. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph, son Raymond Lindsay, parents and brother. Laurette leaves eight grandchildren, 15 great- grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Laurette succumbed to a massive stroke caused by a cerebral blood clot. If desired, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba in her memory.
