Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Thank goodness for Transcona's 100th Centennial (Homecoming) that gave us the opportunity to renew old acquaintances like Brian. (Louellen - speaking for myself - Brian and I met at age 15/16. We dated and enjoyed all the Teen Dances in Transcona (kept us all out of trouble in those days). Lorne - friend of Brians and always referred to him as one of the "good guys". We enjoyed our visit with Brian at the Transcona Homecoming. To his family and friends we give our most sincere condolences. We've lost one of the most gentle souls!! - Posted by: Lorne & Louellen Frederick (Friends) on: Aug 25, 2014

  • I have enjoyed many, many years of friendship with Brian. We were pals in our teens in Transcona, joined the Navy together and even served on the same ship (HMCS Fraser - DDE 233) for over a year. Although we did not have much contact since 1964, the times we did meet just seemed to re-enforce our friendship. He was a great career sailor and served Canada well. My condolences go out to Jackie and Colleen and all of Brian's extended Family. His last "out pipes" freed him from all the pain and anxiety of his last days and maybe there's an " up spirits" pipe in his new home.
