Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLISTER JAMES (JIM) WATSON Lister James (Jim) Watson of Winnipeg Beach passed July 31, 2014 at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his life partner, Helma Rogge Rehders, daughters, Dawn Neufeld (Harry) and Maureen Watson, son, Dennis Watson (Sandra), stepsons and their spouses. He also leaves behind grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, sisters, brothers, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by his parents, Lily Seymour and Lister F. Watson. Jim was born in Eriksdale, Manitoba. In his lifetime, he was a traveler, RCAF airman, artist, welder, business owner, private pilot, hobby farmer, and home builder. He is best known for being a very handy man. One accomplishment he was particularly proud of was, with the support of Helma, the renovation of his old cottage at Winnipeg Beach. "The Barn" was featured in magazine and newspaper articles and was a source of pride and joy for Jim. He was an intelligent and creative man; a thinker and dreamer with a wonderful sense of humour. His friends and family will miss him. Jim's sage advice is "It is our responsibility to lead a happy life". Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jim's life will be held on Friday, September 5. Details may be obtained from family members or friends.

A very caring wise man, always willing to talk and share his views on life. We have missed seeing you sitting in your chair, always having people come to say hello, it looks so empty without you my friend. - Posted by: Donna Forester (friend) on: Aug 23, 2014
