Date of Passing: Aug 23, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGNES FALK (nee ARMSTRONG) 1925 - 2014 On Saturday, August 23, 2014 Agnes passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital at the age of 89 years. Agnes was predeceased by her parents Mina Mae and Patrick, sisters Kaye, Molly, and Eileen, brothers Frank, Henry, and Gordon and loving daughter Helene. Agnes is survived by her husband of 70 years Peter, daughter Barbara (John), son Harold (Alice) as well as seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Agnes and her brothers and sisters lost their parents very early in life so the sense of family was so strong for them all and as her sisters and brothers predeceased her a void was left that Agnes filled with her own children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The grandkids and great-grandkids were the joy of Agnes' life and she would constantly ask "what's new with..........?" Family gatherings always brought smiles and a glimmer in her eye and before losing her eye sight she was constantly snapping photos and creating album after album of memories that she will take with her forever. In addition to being a hard working wife and mother Agnes worked for many years outside the home and even saved something for fabulous holiday cruises with her sisters and a very memorable one with husband Peter to the Bahamas. After retirement Agnes and Peter would take road trips as well including an adventurous drive all the way up to the Yukon. As Agnes aged health issues caused daily struggles but she never once complained and still maintained her focus on her own children and their families. "Finally Home" Although your work on earth is done, Your life in heaven has just begun. Your struggles here were hard and long But they're over now, your finally home. Life wasn't easy, by choice or fate A fight to the finish always strong Rest easy, you're finally home. Sincere and many thanks to the staff on 4th floor at Poseidon Personal Care Home and 4th floor at Victoria General Hospital for trying to make Agnes' last few months as comfortable as possible. A funeral service will take place on Friday, August 29 at 2:00 p.m. at the Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg. Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Helen Hudson Scholarship Endowment, Victoria General Hospital, 2340 Pembina Highway, Winnipeg.

A beautiful lady inside and out. When Agnes lived at Dakota house, I worked at the front desk. I will never forget the nights I spent bowling with her before everyone else came. She may not have had the best eyesight- but she in fact taught me how to bowl on the WII machine. We had loads of fun for 1/2 hour -I provided her with some laughs and in turn she had some excercise. I will miss her. - Posted by: shiela () on: Aug 29, 2014
