WINNIE COBELA February 23, 1935 - August 21, 2014 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dearly beloved, Winnie Cobela, from the Little Saskatchewan First Nation. She will be missed by family and friends. Winnie was born on the Little Saskatchewan First Nation in Gypsumville, MB to parents the late Charles Sumner and Sarah Jane Shorting. She was a Residential School survivor from Washakada in Elkhorn, MB. She leaves to mourn her daughter Eva Pellettieri (John Colomb) and other siblings, as well as grandchildren Domenico (Erica), Asha (Allen), Fernando (Dorielle), Aaron and Alycia; great-grandchildren Dashawn, Kyler, Khalia, Salvatore, Gianna, Eternity, Sophia and many nieces and nephews. Wake services at Aboriginal Funeral Home 724 Selkirk Ave., Tuesday, August 26 from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Funeral service on Wednesday, August 27 at 11:00 a.m. also at Aboriginal Funeral Home.
