IDELE (BEATRICE) BRADY The family is sad to announce the peaceful passing of Idele (Beatrice) Brady on August 24, 2014 at the age of 98. Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband of 55 years, Albert, as well as cousin Noreen Cass, niece Doreen (Glen) Dowle, nephew Ron (Martha) Waddell, several great-nieces and nephews, and many friends. Idele was predeceased by her parents Reverend Thomas Neville and her mother Kezia, her sister Marg Waddell, and nephews Douglas and Arnold. Idele was born March 22, 1916. Idele travelled much as a child following her father in his career as a reverend finally settling in Winnipeg. Idele loved learning, eventually graduating from the University of Winnipeg (Wesley College) in 1936 and later Kent State University as a Speech Pathologist. Idele worked all her life in the field of education being a teacher, Principal and the first speech pathologist for the school division. Idele had a great love of all animals and had many pet cats over the years which she loved. One could not end a conversation with Idele without having to provide an update on the status of your own pets. Idele and Bert enjoyed many wonderful years at the cottage on White Lake. Idele had many fond memories of being there with family and friends. Also of great pride was their riverfront home on Wolseley Avenue. Idele found great joy being in the perennial gardens, watching the birds and spending evenings sitting on their porch. Travelling and seeing the world was a passion for Idele and she was very lucky to make more than several wonderful trips with Bert. The arts and symphony also provided Idele with many fond memories. Idele found happiness with her church family and singing in the choir at McClure United Church. A celebration of Idele's life will take place on Friday, September 5 at 11:00 a.m. at McClure United Church, 533 Greenwood Place. Interment will be at a later date In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the charity of your choice.
