ETHEL FERDMAN It is with great sorrow, that we announce the peaceful passing of Ethel Ferdman on September 3, 2014, surrounded by her loving family. Ethel was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter and daughter-in-law, caring sister, proud grandmother and great-grandmother. Ethel was predeceased by husband Dave, parents Edith (Tobin) and Jacob Koffman, in-laws Ethel and Harry Ferdman, sisters Goldie (Sam) Wolfe and Lily (Norman) Katz. She is survived by daughter Roberta, grandchildren Everett, Elliott (Ronit) and great-grandchildren David and Avi. Ethel was a woman of profound inner strength, who lived her life with humour, dignity and passion. She was a very happy, outgoing and friendly individual, known for her pleasant nature and warm smile, who was often lovingly referred to as "Sweet Pea". Raised in a family devoted to Judaism, she gave generously to many charities both locally and in Israel. She was also known as an astute business woman who tirelessly supported her husband in the family business, Ferdman Tool Supply. A graveside service was held on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 1:45 p.m. at Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. The Meal of Condolence was held at Congregation Etz Chayim.
