LYLE JAMES HERBERT WONNACOTT May 21, 1928 - September 4, 2014 Peacefully in the afternoon, surrounded by his family, Lyle passed away at Misericordia Health Centre. He leaves to mourn his wife of 49 years, Angela, his daughter, Liz (Darren) Stobbe, grandchildren Mikyla, Paige, and Jessica, his brother Gordon (Marje), brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Carol Favoni, and many nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Lyle was predeceased by his parents, Carlyle and Elizabeth Wonnacott and his brother, Keith. Lyle had a passion for country-western music and could often be seen singing and playing his guitar to entertain fellow residents at Villa Cabrini. We would like to extend a very special thank you to Frank and Carol for their love and support to Lyle during his life, especially during his last few years. A big thank you to Ken Twomey as well, who was a companion to Lyle during the past several months. Lastly, we would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the 5th floor staff of Misericordia Health Centre for their wonderful care. In memory of Lyle, a gathering will be held at Transcona Memorial United Church, 209 Yale Avenue West on Sunday, September 21, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honour Lyle's memory may do so by making a donation to the charity of their choice.
