Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHU - SHENG LUO April 10, 1922 - September 17, 2014 After a long, well-lived life of 92 years, Hu-sheng Luo passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at the Grace Hospital. Hu-sheng is survived by his two daughters, Ma (Steve Haber) and Zheng Luo; and son, Jin Luo (Quen Liu). A special joy of his later life were his three grandchildren; a granddaughter, Ya-dan Luo in China; and two grandsons, Lee and Darren Haber in Winnipeg. He was predeceased in 1983 by his wife Zhengyu Ma. A quiet man, Hu-sheng impressed those who knew him with his steadfastness in adversity and his unceasing desire to learn. Never one to rest on his accomplishments, like the Honours B.A. he earned at Beijing University in 1948, he constantly sought to expand his horizons. After arriving in Winnipeg in 1989, he enrolled at the University of Winnipeg and earned a B.A. degree in Economics in 1997 at the age of 75. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation.
