Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGLADYS MURIEL CHRISPIN December 18, 1918 - September 12, 2014 Gladys Chrispin passed away peacefully on Friday, September 12, 2014 at Victoria Hospital. She is survived by her daughter Marlene Bell and son Gregory Wilkinson, wife Mary Louise. Grandchildren Michael Bell (Natalie) and his daughter Caitlin; Ken Bell wife Trish and their children Riley, Tyler and Caleigh; Doug Bell; Lori Ostermann husband Brent and their sons Ryan and Caden; Chris Wilkinson wife Dawn and their children Eric and Artis; James Wilkinson wife Leanne and son Lachlan. Brothers James Drysdale wife Susan; Roderick Drysdale wife Ruth; sister Kathleen Rempel and brother Doug Drysdale wife Dale. She is also survived by several nephews, nieces and great-nephews and nieces. Gladys was predeceased by her parents Henry and Katheleen Drysdale; husband Eric Whiteley Wilkinson in 1957 and husband Raymond Chrispin in 1994; son-in-law Angus Bell, granddaughter Jennifer Wilkinson and great-granddaughter Taylor Wilkinson, brother Gordon and sister Kitty Parsons. Gladys was born in Davidson, SK And moved at an early age with her family to the U.S. to follow her father's career path in three states. Five years later the family moved back to live in St.Vital where she attended Glenwood and Norberry schools. During the war she was employed at McDonald Bros. Aircraft as an aircraft electrician. Her husband Eric passed away in 1957. Gladys remarried to Ray Chrispin in 1960. She was employed by Eatons in Winnipeg til 1967 then moving to Vancouver to enjoy the West Coast with husband Ray for 30 years. In Vancouver she worked in the fabric retail industry. Gladys and Ray enjoyed numerous trips throughout North America, Great Britain and Europe during this time. Gladys came back to Winnipeg after Ray's passing to be closer to family. A special thank you to the staff and doctors on the third and fifth floors of Victoria Hospital for their care and compassion of our mother. Flowers gratefully declined. Cremation has taken place. Private family interment at a later date.
