Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVERNA MAE INGIMUNDSON June 6, 1929 - September 21, 2014 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Verna, on September 21. Mom was predeceased by her husband Marino, parents Carl and Jean Swanson and sister Marion Lynch. She will be lovingly remembered by her sons Brian (Brenda) and Richard, her grandchildren Eric and Jennifer and her many nieces and nephews. Mom was born in Pilot Mound and raised in Winnipeg. She graduated from nursing from the Winnipeg General Hospital in 1952 and enjoyed a long and happy career, keeping in touch with her "52A" classmates through the years. Mom loved to golf and curl and made many friends along the way. She was an avid baseball fan and loved her Dodgers. She cherished the winters she and Marino spent in Phoenix and the friends made there. Mom was a kind and generous soul who loved to knit and took great pleasure in creating presents for family and friends. Special thanks to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for their compassionate care of Mom over the past few years of her illness. A private family interment has taken place. Everyone is welcome to join the family for a celebration of Verna's Life at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at the Transcona Legion, 117 Regent Avenue East, Winnipeg, MB. www.chapellawn.ca 885-9715

Dear Brian & Family and Richard. Sorry to hear about your loss, your Mother was such a great person. I spent many hours with her when we lived next to you at 119 from 1958-1964. Peter passed away, but I am still here, I volunteered at Middlechurch in the Shop and I visited her a few times, but she did not recognize me. She was a great lady. May she rest in peace.
