LAURINDA OLIVEIRA RIBEIRO 1933 2014 Passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 23 at the Health Sciences Centre at the age of 81. She was predeceased by her son José Luis in 1987 and her beloved husband Abel Fernandes in 2008. Laurinda is survived by her daughter Ana Maria (Cecil); grandchildren, Carlos (Lori), Sandi (Jeff), Madison and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Landen, Jeffrey, Valecia, Miguel and Curtis; one brother Manuel and family in Winnipeg; sister and brother in France, Paris. Laurinda was born in Britelo, Ponte Da Barca in Portugal. She immigrated to Canada in 1971 and began working at Prairie Produce where she remained until retirement. She will be sadly missed by her loved ones. The family thanks everyone, especially the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority for their wonderful home care staff as well as the wonderful staff at the Health Sciences Centre. Prayers will be said on Thursday, September 25 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic church, 181 Austin St. N. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you, Until we meet again. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044
