JEAN YOUNG Jean Young (nee Lisoway), on September 27, 2014, passed away at Concordia Hospital in Winnipeg, MB. Jean died peacefully with her family by her side after a long and full life. She was predeceased by her parents John and Mary Lisoway, and her brothers Bob and Bill Lisoway. Left to mourn is her brother Mike Lisoway, her daughters Katherine (Garry), Barbara (Pete), Deanna (Gary) and her sons Roger (Pete), and Michael (Sharon). Jean also leaves to mourn nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Jean was born August 31, 1930, in Winnipeg, MB. When Jean was a teenager she worked as a switchboard operator at Weston Bakeries. She was married in Winnipeg Manitoba where she lived her whole life and raised her five children. She went to work at Angelo's restaurant to help support her large family but then suffered a brain aneurysm. She returned to work for a short time but found it too difficult. Jean prided herself on collecting cans and tabs to help raise funds to purchase wheel chairs and to support burn victims. She was relentless in recruiting everyone she met to help in her quest for cans and tabs. Jean had a huge heart and was always giving of herself. Whoever she met, she had an uncanny way of touching their hearts, and they had no choice but to fall in love with her. To sum up Jean, she was the cutest, sweetest, most adorable lady you could ever know. Jean will be sadly missed. Rest in Peace. Memorial Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Voyage Funeral Chapel, 220 Hespeler Ave. (204) 668-3151.
