GILBERT JOSEPH TEFFAINE septembre 3, 1941 - septembre 28, 2014 C'est avec une grande tristesse que nous annonçons le décès, dimanche le septembre 28, 2014, de Gilbert Joseph Teffaine. Il a rejoint d'autres membres de sa famille: sa mère Alice, son père Julien et son fils Roger. Pour honorer sa mémoire, il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Shirley, sa fille Jacqueline, son fils Richard, ses frères Rhéal (Carmen) et Aurèle (Liane), son neveu Robert et sa nièce Kristine, de même que plusieurs parents et amis très chers. Gilbert a eu une longue carrière enrichissante à Radio-Canada/CBC et a travaillé à Montréal, Ottawa et Winnipeg. Il avait un merveilleux sens de l'humour, aimait aller à la pêche à Minaki et adorait discuter de politique avec ses frères. Son plus grand bonheur était de passer du temps avec son épouse et ses enfants. La famille aimerait remercier du fond du coeur le personnel de l'unité de dialyse de l'Hôpital St-Boniface pour leurs soins attentionnés et leur compassion. Selon les voeux de Gilbert, un service commémoratif privé sera célébré par Monseigneur Maurice Comeault, pour la famille immédiate. Compenser l'envoi de fleurs par un don versé en sa mémoire à la Fondation canadienne du rein, Division du Manitoba. Repose en paix papa. GILBERT JOSEPH TEFFAINE September 3, 1941 - September 28, 2014 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Gilbert Joseph Teffaine on Sunday, September 28, 2014. He was predeceased by his parents Alice and Julien, and his son Roger. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Shirley, daughter Jacqueline, son Richard, brothers Rhéal (Carmen) and Aurèle (Liane), nephew Robert and niece Kristine, as well as many relatives and dear friends. Gilbert had a long and rewarding career with Radio-Canada/CBC and worked in Montreal, Ottawa and Winnipeg. He had a wonderful sense of humour, loved fishing in Minaki and enjoyed discussing politics with his brothers. His greatest joy was spending time with his wife and children. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Dialysis Unit staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their loving care and compassion. In keeping with Gilbert's wishes, a private memorial officiated by Monsignor Maurice Comeault will be held for his immediate family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada Manitoba Branch. Rest in peace Papa.

  • It is with sadness that I heard Gilbert had passed away. I worked with him at CBC in the French Department in the early '60's and I have fond memories of his brilliance and great sense of humour.   • J'ai connu Gilbert a Notre Dame de Lourdes dans notre enfance et nous avons renouvelé notre amitié alors qu'il est venu travailler a Montréal pour Radio Canada. On se rencontrait régulierement pour jouer aux cartes avec nos épouses mais nous nous sommes perdus quand il est retourné a Winnipeg.J'ai su en 2005 qu'il était malade et devait recevoir des soins plusieurs fois par semaine.
