DANIEL JASON KRINDLE 1940 2014 Our dear friend, Danny, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2014 at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 74. As a young man in high school and university, he was a fine athlete, who excelled at football. He was extremely popular and personable. From a relatively young age, Danny had already made up his mind about his future. The facts were; Danny was a confirmed bachelor, and after he graduated from Law School, he planned to move to Los Angeles where he would become a lawyer "to the stars". In the early 70s off he went; arriving in Los Angeles, he could not practice his profession until he passed the American Bar Exams, and had to accept a clerkship in a law office until this was accomplished. Working hard he passed the exams, and was admitted to the California Bar in 1973. By the late 1970s, Danny was making great headway and his law practice was beginning to flourish. He was a fine litigator and had his greatest success during the 1980s. In those days, anyone visiting Danny from Winnipeg could attest to his playboy lifestyle with all the impressive trappings. He was always happy to see his old friends and was the best host generous and fun loving. His many friends were sure to come back to Winnipeg, their visits enhanced with a taste of Hollywood glamour, thanks to Danny. He seemed to know everybody on the scene, and was a well-liked man about town. Unfortunately, his life fell apart in the early 90s and in 1993 he returned to Winnipeg. Practicing law was not in his future, and for several years he struggled with various vocations, none of which allowed him to attain a lifestyle he previously enjoyed. During this very difficult time for Danny, he remained close to his good friends, and even though he was very frustrated with his change in lifestyle, he made extraordinary efforts to support himself. Finally, after many years of running into dead ends, he accepted a retirement position that allowed him a comfortable place to live, and the responsibility of managing a facility which he ably carried out for many years. Danny went into full retirement three years ago, but unfortunately, his health started to deteriorate in January 2014. He left us suddenly, but with acceptance and dignity. A graveside burial took place on September 22, 2014 at the Shaarey Zedek Cemetery. Mr. Bill Weissmann, Shammes, officiated and pallbearers were; Don Fraser, Marshall Freed, Richard Klassen, Cliff Lazareck, Samuel Lazareck and Jean Paul Van Der Kooy. Danny was predeceased by his parents, Sophie and Sam Krindle. He is survived by his sister, Rhonda Klassen (Richard and family) and Mel Lazareck (Karyn and family). Special thanks to his two devoted friends Jean Paul Van Der Kooy and Don Fraser, who visited and cared for Danny during his recent hospital stay.

I met Danny in the early 1980's and we remained close friends during that decade. Many good times including many trips in Danny's Rolls Royce to Las Vegas. He was a good soul and a proud man. Unfortunately demons took their toll on Danny. I called him in Winnipeg about two years ago and all he said was "good bye Michael" so I never had a chance to offer him any help that he needed. I had heard over the years that he was going thru difficult times. RIP Danny. Michael Sweig Chicago IL - Posted by: Michael Sweig (old friend) on: Mar 01, 2015

Danny was my hero and close pal through many exciting personal and professional ventures, I shall never forget the birthday surprise party at my home, the video memorial and many exciting events we shared with other pals. He shall long be remembered and his many photographs in my albums displayed with friends. I am so very sorry we were unable to spend time together after his return to Winnipeg. - Posted by: Joel Johnson (Dear friend) on: Feb 03, 2015
