AGATHA DUECK (TARASENKO)
Date of Passing: Sep 30, 2014
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryAGATHA DUECK (nee TARASENKO) 1912 - 2014 This side of the grass faded a little more today as our Mother, Mother-in-law, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Sister, and friend passed away at the age of 102 on September 30, 2014. It is rare these days for someone to live to 102, but she was a rare and amazing person. She was the only daughter of the five children born to Russian Ukrainian immigrants Tatiana and Andrew Tarasenko. Agatha is predeceased by her husband Albert, eldest daughter Doris, and three brothers John, Henry, and Peter. She leaves to mourn her passing two daughters Joyce and Betty, and two sons, Ken and Peter, and brother Alec, as well as many grandchildren, great- grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was a very caring person, always more concerned about the next person instead of herself. She loved life, she loved people, she loved to give of herself, she will be greatly missed by any and all that knew her. At the families request there will be no service and in lieu of flowers please make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

To know her was to love her. She always welcomed us in her home & we shared many a cup of coffee & baked treats & could talk for hours with this lovely lady. She was like a mother to us & esp. to my sister (Lorraine). It was an honor to invite her to our home for various occasions such as bridal & baby showers & a wedding of our oldest daughter. Always smiling & having a kind word to all. She will be missed for a long time...they don't make them like Agatha anymore. Rest in peace dear lady * say hello to my sister Lorraine - Posted by: Steve and Jan Zelonko ("friends" ) on: Jan 05, 2016

Mrs. Dueck was a good neighbor and great friend to my mother at the Chalet Chez Nous in St. Adolphe. Even though we lost touch after Mom moved to the Villa Youville in Ste Anne, she was often in my thoughts as such a lovable person, so generous with her smile and warm attentions to Mom. After living to such a wonderful old age, she deserves to finally rest in peace. My condolences to the family. - Posted by: Lina Le Gal (friend) on: Oct 07, 2014
