Condolences & Memories (10 entries)

  • Our sincere condolences to all the family. My Afi (Hjortur) and Audrey's father Agust were brothers. I briefly met Audrey years ago when I returned a photo of her father Agust to her. I had found it in my Afi's home on Hecla Island. Judy (nee Amundson) and Jeff Horkoff - Posted by: Judy Horkoff (nee Amundson) (Audrey"s father (Agust) and my Afi (Hjortur0 were brothers.) on: Oct 11, 2014

  • Although for some reason we never met, we lived in the same area for years, Hecla, Arborg, Winnipeg, and I would very much have liked to know that side of my family more. My deepest condolences. Dan. - Posted by: Daniel C. Amundson (My father and Audrey were first cousins. Their fathers, August and Hjortur were brothers.) on: Oct 11, 2014

  • Mom was so interested in music. She would play the piano whenever requested. She never was nervous when performing in front of an audience. Most of her last performances were at the Nursing Homes in Selkirk. She encouraged all her children to take music lessons. Instruments played included piano, organ, violin, guitar & recorder! Some family members even took theory and performance examinations of The Royal Conservatory of Music. This legacy has been passed on to the next generation. Love You & Leave You Mom-Bye. You stayed with us as long as you could & we are grateful. God has greatly blessed our family. - Posted by: Janie goodman hygaard (daughter) on: Oct 10, 2014

  • I tribute to my Amma. I'm glad I spent as much time as I could with you before you left us. Now you're with Ovie and uncle Paul once again in heaven. I will always carry your memories with me. Love you and will miss you. - Posted by: Tim goodman (Grandson) on: Oct 08, 2014

  • The very first thing I said to Audrey when I first met her, was to thank her for the beautiful gift of a man whom I never thought I would find; and that this had been possible only because of her and J.R. For having instilled an incredible sense of decency, morality, humility, selflessness, and compassion, they are the reason for who their children and grandchildren are today, and the world has reaped the benefits of all that they have passed on. - Posted by: Pansy Goodman (Daughter-in-law) on: Oct 08, 2014

  • Our sincere condolences to Joy, Brian and family. May you find comfort in knowing that your mom is reunited with your dad and will no longer endure any sorrow or pain here on earth. May she rest in peace. - Posted by: Fern and James Dmytrow (Neighbours) on: Oct 07, 2014
