JESSE WRAY LEISS July 22, 1992 October 23, 2014 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend whose free and outgoing spirit will be missed by all. Jesse leaves to mourn his mother Tracy (Adrian), father Ken (Lee), siblings Kim (Bart), Krystal (Kevin), Lucas, Sean and grandparents Ruth, Jack and Eleanor. There are also many more family and close friends too numerous to name. Jesse lived his life by his own rules. He came into this world full of curiosity and with a wild sense of adventure. He lived his entire life this way, and always marched to the beat of his own drum. Jesse grew up in St. Andrews Manitoba, then moved to Greenwood, B.C. where he completed his grade 12, before returning to Manitoba. Jesse was the happiest when he was outdoors. He loved to go fishing and camping and would spend many hours with his family out on the boat. Jesse had a contagious laugh that was often referred to as the "Tigger Laugh". He had an infectious smile that could cheer up anyone's day. Jesse was, and will always be loved by all who knew him. Though his life was taken too soon, he will never be forgotten. Cremation has taken place and a service will be held on Thursday, October 30 at 2:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. A celebration of Jesse's Life will take place immediately following the service at Casa Romana 1364 Main Street. Please join us here for a toast in his honour. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba in Jesse's honour. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-586-8044

Condolences & Memories (26 entries)

  • I remember quite some time ago, Jesse, Meagan and myself went to Six Pines. It was the 1st time meeting Jesse. He was so comical, I literally peed myself. He was such a ray of sunshine and a breath of fresh air. Just finding out about his passing, I'm in such disbelief. My thoughts go to everyone that was close to him. You're gone but never forgotten, your body/shell is gone but your spirit/energy lives on. I will never forget the laughter you brought on the very 1st day I met you. - Posted by: Krista Wysocki (Old friend) on: Oct 03, 2021

  • My heart broke when I found out Jesse was no longer with us. Though I am very grateful to have had the chance to have him apart of my life. He was and still is the funniest, loudest, most caring guy I know. Growing up with him he would make fun and pick on me as all my brothers close friends did. As we got older we would hang out and it was always an adventure with Jesse. Wether we were boating, fishing, off roading, or just hangin out it was the best time ever! Never a dull moment. I will miss all those moments we had the pleasure of sharing together. But I will always have a smile on my face when I think about Jesse. R.I.P Hun! • My deepest sympathy to the Leiss family. I only had the privilege of knowing Jesse for a short time but in that period I was happy I met him. He was a very good worker (taught me some tricks of the trade) and helped make my out of town work experience far more enjoyable, simply with his friendly nature and overall happiness. Jesse, all of us tin bashers tip our hard hats to you. - Posted by: James Jordan (coworker Ambassador Mechanical) on: Oct 28, 2014

  • Ken and Tracy my heart breaks for you. I cannot find the words to say how deeply sorry I am for the loss of Jesse. We will always remember the summer's camping at the Whiteshell with all the kids and the fun they had growing up tubing catching frogs and watching the bears at the dump. May all your memories be a comfort to you as well as your family during this difficult time. Much love to you all. Karen - Posted by: Karen Griffith-Henry (Friend) on: Oct 27, 2014

  • I think we all will agree that Jesse was pure energy! You knew when he was near because you could hear his laughter echo all around! Jesse was/is considered part of our family. He came with us on a family vacation and was here for Birthday parties and would stop by just to talk. The more food you gave him the longer he would stay! He would tell us stories that would have us holding our sides because we would be laughing so hard! He once asked if we would bet him $5 to lick a fish from top to borrow... we were like, NO but he did it anyway just for the shock value and the laughs that followed! Even if months went by without seeing him we always got that big smile and warm hello. We will miss him terribly. We loved him as he was family and he will forever be in our hearts. Our Condolences to his entire family! May he be always remembered for his laughter and his love of adventure. The world is already too quiet without you Jesse! - Posted by: Darlene and Dave Gibson (Friend/Family) on: Oct 27, 2014
