Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN BERTHA KOTOWICH Peacefully, in her sleep after a brief illness, Lillian Kotowich passed away on Monday, November 3, 2014, at the Selkirk General Hospital. Left to mourn her passing, her husband Fred, of 65 years; children Gerry (Kim), Alf (Lyn), Laverne (Ed) and Carol (Dann); eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Born May 25, 1929 in St. Joseph, MB, mom lived in southern Manitoba until moving to Cloverdale as a teenager, where she met the love of her life Fred. After their marriage in 1949, they lived in Petersfield for a short time before moving to Oak Hammock to run the general store there. After retirement they moved to Selkirk in 1987 where she resided until her passing. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB, with Rev. Brad Elliott officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lillian's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
