CINDY JOHNSON (MAGNUSSON) April 14, 1961 - November 1, 2014 With broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of Cindy, our loving wife, mom and amma at home on Saturday, November 1, 2014. Cindy is survived by her husband of 29 years, Allan; sons, Matt (Nancy) and Brad; grandchildren Kaitlyn, Samantha, Brendan, Damion and Carter; mom Doreen Magnusson; sisters Debbie (Vic), Brenda (Murray) and Tracy (Dave); father-in-law Kris (Gladys); sister-in-law Marlene (Brad); nephews Sean (Shannon), Drew (Tiffany), Dan (Darcie), Cody, Jordan and niece Lauren. Cindy is now in the loving arms of her father Lorne who predeceased her and was her hero. She also reunites with her grandparents and many others very near and dear to her. Cindy was born on April 14, 1961, the second daughter to Lorne and Doreen Magnusson. Cindy had a wonderful childhood growing up in Gimli. After high school she went to work in Winnipeg for a few years before returning to her hometown where she soon after married Allan and began her family. She spent many years caring for her boys before deciding to return to work with the IGA family. As a young girl she had many great weekends of camping with her family in Hnausa, and then shared her love of camping with her own family, cherishing her time on Hecla Island. For the last couple of years she enjoyed her winter vacations to Florida with her sisters. Her family was very proud of her accomplishments in recent years which included graduating from the University of Manitoba with a Certificate of Manitoba Municipal Administration and in her new position as CAO at the Municipality of Bifrost. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fraserwood Hall in Fraserwood, Manitoba. A private interment will take place. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6.
